KAFRA – Living as a Service

KAFRA Housing develops, realises and manages modern temporary housing concepts for specific target groups, including migrant workers, students and people who urgently need housing. With our unique ‘Living as a service’ concept, which relieves residents, employers and municipalities of the responsibility for organising all aspects of housing and living in the Netherlands, KAFRA Housing aims to set the new standard in temporary housing.

Which housing solution is most appropriate? It depends on the local needs, wishes and possibilities. Every situation and location demands a different housing type, which is why KAFRA actively works with municipalities to develop the most appropriate local solutions. KAFRA has developed several unique housing concepts. Thanks to our own investment capital and extensive housing stock, KAFRA can also rapidly tackle local bottlenecks in the housing market.

Quality of life

Relaxation after work is vital for our health and well-being, and thus also for our productivity. That’s why KAFRA provides a spacious living environment with many living, sports and relaxation facilities for our residents, including fitness spaces, sports fields, table tennis tables, beautiful green spaces and more. Our homes are also very spacious and provide sufficient privacy and outstanding living comfort.

Sustainable living

KAFRA Housing has responded to the growing demand for sustainability. We also take our responsibility to the environment seriously. All KAFRA homes are built using sustainable and recyclable (cradle-to-cradle) materials. They are well insulated and are heated without natural gas. The roofs of our homes are also fitted with solar panels to generate green energy. With all these measures, KAFRA develops and realises energy efficient homes.

Service and management

Professional multilingual Welfare Officers are available 24/7 at each location to help residents feel welcome and safe at all times. The Welfare Officers are responsible for the welfare of residents, for ensuring they are properly informed and for communicating with the local community. They act as a central point of contact for residents, are responsible for managing the facility and ensure compliance with the house rules.

Dialogue with the local community

KAFRA actively invests in an open and transparent relationship with direct stakeholders in the local community, including local residents, security services and municipalities. We set up an advisory group to assist with the realisation of each location. It continues to meet after the opening and once the residents have moved in. Stakeholders in the advisory group are kept informed and are closely involved with the realisation of the location. The advisory group contributes ideas and continues to meet after the location has opened to make suggestions for improvements and monitor developments.
