About KaFra Housing

To address the shortage of suitable housing, KaFra Housing develops, implements, and operates innovative housing concepts for the temporary accommodation of specific target groups, such as international employees, students, and urgent housing seekers. KaFra’s spacious homes offer excellent living comfort and are equipped with modern living and recreational facilities.

General

The Welfare Officer is responsible for overseeing the operations at a designated KaFra housing location and ensuring order, peace, and cleanliness on and around the site. Housing-related complaints from residents, neighbors, and other stakeholders are promptly addressed to guarantee living comfort and, where possible, improve it. The duties of a Welfare Officer are highly varied, and no two days are the same.

Full-time: 40 hours
Location: The Netherlands

Responsibilities

1. Communication and Support

  • Point of contact for residents at the housing location, through on-site presence and holding office hours.
  • Point of contact for neighbors and stakeholders.
  • Point of contact for the Housing departments at client organizations.

2. Supervision and Management

  • Overseeing the work of third parties on the site.
  • Management and first-line safety of the housing location.
  • Inspection of homes and residents for order, cleanliness, safety, hygiene, and inventory.

3. Quality Control and Administration

  • Inspection of residents’ sleeping areas before arrival and upon departure.
  • Minor technical maintenance and cleaning.
  • Additional administrative tasks, including the registration and management of resident and visitor data.
  • Preparation of progress reports and monthly planning reports for the Director of Operations.

4. Prevention, Maintenance, and Welfare

  • Proper execution of management tasks related to legionella prevention and pest control.
  • Landscaping and removal of litter around the location.
  • Addressing residents about compliance with KaFra house rules and notifying the security & control department in case of violations.

What do we expect from you?

  • MBO+ level of work or thinking.
  • Experience in directing and supervising human behavior.
  • A valid driver’s license (category B).
  • At least a good command of the English language, both spoken and written; preferably also knowledge of Polish or another language spoken by residents at the location, such as Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, or Hungarian.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in general administrative skills.
  • Customer-oriented, flexible, and decisive
